On Tuesday morning, the security around the Sto. Domingo Church in Quezon City was tightened. The security was tightened in preparation for the wedding Mar Roxas and Korina Sanchez. The wedding of Senator Mar Roxas and broadcaster Korina Sanchez is said to be one of the most highly-touted weddings of the year. The wedding was scheduled at 3 p.m. at the Sto. Domingo Church and according to a Flash Report by Bernadette Reyes of GMA News, nearly 50 bouncers were tasked to secure the area. High security was present for the wedding because it was expected to be attended by high-profile political. Many popular showbiz personalities also expected to attend the ceremony. The police from Quezon City Police Department also there for security purposes.
According to sources, 2,000 guests were invited by Roxas and Sanchez for the wedding. The head of wedding coordination and security, Mike Miñana said.
“Yung ibang officials basta magdadala ng bodyguards bawal ho yung firearms sa loob ng simbahan (For officials who will be bringing bodyguards, please be reminded that firearms will not be allowed inside the church),”
Mike Miñana added.
“Everybody can bring their cameras, [but] probably their cameras would only be yung mga cellphone at the very most,”
